Personalized items are some of my favorites to add to my home decor. And when I can make them it is even better. Making this tag sign was so easy. Let me show you how I did it with a thrifted cutting board.

I started with the rectangular used cutting board I found for a couple of dollars at a thrift store. I needed it to be more square so I cut it down with my Ryobi jigsaw.

That was easy! Now what? Well, the corners needed to be a little more rounded.

I used the top of the spray paint can to create the shape, then sanded the corners with my hand sander.

So far so good right? Next we paint….. Rustolem Heirloom White in Satin. This is one of my favorite colors to use. Not to bright, but not to creamy either.

I painted it, let it dry and brought it in for the next step.

I knew I wanted to personalize it with 531 so I got out my Silhouette and created the stencil.

I painted the numbers black and let them dry, then distressed the entire thing to give it the worn look.

Once it was completely dry I created a collage display in my master bathroom. I love the way it turned out
